Marketing Tip For Marketing or Coaching Business
I’m going to give you a marketing tip — what we can learn about marketing or coaching business from the ancient Roman Empire.
That’s right, stay tuned.
It’s a long week four of the five-week holiday with our family. Right now, just taken a tour of Pompeii, and saw a bunch of bodies being vulcanized, I think that’s the right word, getting hit by the ashes and the dust and the lava, but today’s lesson is a bit different.
As I was walking through the city, I was amazed by how well-organized it was, there were straight roads and perfectly built houses and amphitheaters and all sorts of stuff, made me think a little bit about growing the coaching business.
If you think about the Roman Empire versus all the other little empires or little kind of countries that started, the tribes that started but never really took off; it’s a little bit like a coaching business. See, the little guys hunted, but the Romans built roads, aqueducts, coliseums; every great civilization was built, just like every great coaching business is built.
Build A Marketing System
If you’re out there hunting day after day looking for client after client after client, sure you can bag a client now and again like the ancient tribes used to go out and hunt for a wildebeest or an elk or some kind of animal, and sometimes they’d bring it back, but sometimes they wouldn’t, and eventually every hunter gets tired.
So, I don’t know how you’re coaching business has been going so far, but if you’ve been out looking for client after client after client, going out hunting, some days catching a client, some days not, maybe the lesson for you is maybe it’s time to stop hunting and start building.
See, the Romans did it right; they built a system or a civilization that looked after them forever. I want you to build a marketing system that looks after you forever.
