As the sun comes up, I want to share with you how to get even better client results with about 10% of the coaching time.

I’ll give you a little sneak peek into a tool that we use in Black Belt called The Coach-O-Matic™.

 

Different Client, Same Questions

If you think about the work you do with your clients, there’s probably a bunch of times where you get asked the same question over and over again.

I don’t know what that question is for you, or what’s the one thing that you have to teach or reteach over and over and over. But there’s a really good chance that there’s something that comes up again and again.

We had this activity in one of the Black Belt Intensives in LA and Melbourne and got people to write out the top 10 frequently asked and frequently taught like…

“Oh, my webinar’s not working.”

“Can you help me pick my niche?”

Make a list of the 10 frequently asked questions and think about what would happen if you had to answer those questions 3-4 times a day, five times a week, forever. That’s not fun, right?

Coaching is fun when it’s dynamic and it’s creative.

It’s not fun when you find yourself having to repeat yourself again and again and again.

So what I want to do right now is help shrink that time down.

The Coaching Session

During your coaching session, you’ve got your first 10 minutes or something, figuring out what the problem is.

Eventually, at this moment, you figure out what the issue is, and here, you share a little bit og=f insight, an idea, a valuable one.

“My webinar’s not working…”

We’ll find out what’s going on, and I’ll ask a few questions like “Is it that you can’t get people to sign up or show up on the webinar? If there’s a problem, do you follow up?” Then we’ll poke around until we find it.

That’s actually the show, right?

So 25% of people on the webinar who registered and 75% will not. Makes sense.

Here’s the thing…

The prospects you want are successful. Already successful usually means busy. Busy means they won’t show up.

In other words, the guys that you most want are the guys who don’t show up for the webinar.

The Webinar That Doesn’t Matter

Its offer is to get somebody registered for a webinar, and then on a call, ignoring the webinar another time.

But let’s just assume that we didn’t have to spend the next little while teaching people how to do the webinar that doesn’t matter.

And at the end, we give them some homework, some hard work. And if we get a good coach, we’ll have some kind of follow up phase.

So here’s what I suggest you do…

You want to get your coaching session down to the important bit. The important bit, if you noticed, was to figure out what’s going on insight, and that’s it.

Everything after that is repetitive work that frankly, could be done either by somebody else or with a training tool in your portal.

It’s the answer to the questions like:

  • What’s the insight that we need to pop?
  • What’s the name of the tool?
  • What’s the link?

You never have to answer the same dumb questions ever again. It’s the fastest way to go from one-on-one coaching to group coaching.

It’s to take the stuff that’s in your head right now and unpack it into some kind of tool platform that either you can use to quickly ask the question, pinpoint, and then point them in the right direction.

Well, somebody else can take nature break mid-lesson.

So what does that mean?

That means, instead of having to teach for half an hour, you can teach once. And instead of repeating, you record.

So instead of becoming the repeater, your job is to probe with questions, pinpoint an issue, and say, “Oh you can drop this with your model.”

And instead of saying, “Let me show you how it works”, you go, “Once you’re through with these, call me in the morning”.

All of a sudden, you can get a client the same kind of results used to take you an hour in 10 minutes.

So what do you do with the extra 15 minutes?

Whatever the hell you want to do. 🙂

There’s a ton more of this, but that’s a pretty good kind of foundational setup.
